Rachael Palecek, LCSW

Rachael Palecek is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been practicing in the mental health and substance use disorder field since 2011. Rachael has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Human Development from UW-Green Bay, as well as a Masters of Clinical Social Work from University of St. Thomas/St. Catherine’s University in St. Paul.

Rachael has nearly 10 years of experience working with individuals diagnosed with mental health and/or substance use disorders in medical settings. She has experience working with children in a day treatment setting, case management, crisis management, and emergency department. Rachael enjoys working with children, teens, and adults.

Rachael values the importance of therapeutic relationship and making a connection to meet people where they are at in the therapeutic process. She has a non-judgemental and compassionate attitude. Rachael is an active listener and works on effective communication. She is not afraid to use humor, when appropriate. Rachael is interested in hearing people’s stories and working on goals to manage the challenges they are experiencing.

Rachael enjoys working with people living with depression, anxiety, bipolar, post traumatic stress disorder, medical conditions, and other life stressors.  She has training and experience in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Mindfulness. Rachael also has extensive education in substance use disorders.
